055VS Series | Safety Lock Breathing Air Venting Coupling & Plugs
The 055VS Series is a 5.5mm nominal bore VentSafe quick release coupling based on a plug profile widely used in the USA and Scandinavian markets. Designed for industrial compressed air applications, the series provides high flow performance while retaining compatibility with the standard 055 Series plug profile.
The VentSafe mechanism is incorporated into the coupling, allowing downstream pressure to vent before the plug is fully disconnected. This controlled release helps reduce hose whip and the risks associated with disconnecting a pressurised compressed air line, while allowing the same compatible plugs to be used with either standard 055 or 055VS VentSafe couplings.
