What began as a bold vision in an early unit in Burscough evolved through pivotal moves to Scarisbrick and Knowsley, before returning home to a cutting-edge purpose-built facility in modern-day Burscough. Kee Connections has grown hand-in-hand with the region — from modest beginnings to becoming one of the UK’s most respected OEM manufacturers of quick connect couplings and compressed air solutions.

2008: Early Ambitions Take Root in Burscough

Kee Connections was founded in 2008 by Tony Keeley at the height of the global financial downturn. With support from local firm Kirkwood Wilson Accountants, Kee Connections began its journey in Burscough, where it laid its first foundations in a modest industrial unit.

Even in those early days, the company stood out — driven by a commitment to quality, precision engineering, and personal service. But as orders grew, the team needed space to evolve.

Scarisbrick: From Idea to Momentum

The company moved from Burscough to a workshop in Scarisbrick. Here, it found room to grow and refine its offering. The shift allowed for better control of production and deeper customer engagement. Kee Connections' reputation for high-quality couplings, hoses, and connectors gained ground quickly.

2010–2017: Knowsley – Scaling Up and Thinking Bigger

As growth accelerated, the move to Knowsley was a game-changer. The new site offered room for advanced production lines, R&D innovation, and expanded assembly operations — transforming Kee Connections into a formidable force in the OEM space.

By this stage, the company had made inroads into global markets and was delivering custom-engineered solutions across automotive, pharmaceuticals, water management, and safety sectors.

By 2017, Kee Connections had achieved nearly £1 million in turnover — and positioned itself as more than a rising star. It had become a serious player in UK manufacturing.

2025: Back to Burscough – A Purpose-Built HQ for the Future

Today, Kee Connections is back where it started — but in a very different Burscough. Now operating from a bespoke, future-ready facility in the Barracuda Business Park, the company has come full circle. This isn’t just a return; it’s a relaunch into the next phase of growth.

The site, developed in partnership with Crompton Developments, is a benchmark for modern manufacturing. With scalable production lines, smart logistics, optimised warehousing, and a sustainable footprint, it’s built not just for today — but for tomorrow.

Why Burscough? Because It’s Grown, Too

Back in 2008, Burscough wasn’t the advanced industrial hub it is now. But that’s changed. Today, it’s one of the North West’s most promising regions for high-tech manufacturing, logistics, and innovation — with great connectivity and a growing community of future-facing businesses.

Returning to Burscough was both a strategic and symbolic move — reconnecting with the company’s roots while embracing a more ambitious vision.

Crompton Developments & Kee Connections: Building the Future Together

This transition was made possible through a tight-knit collaboration with Crompton Developments, the team behind the transformation of Barracuda Business Park. From day one, Crompton worked closely with Kee’s leadership to create a facility that empowers innovation and enables growth.

What Crompton Delivered:

  • A custom-built HQ tailored to high-performance OEM manufacturing
  • Flexible internal layouts to optimise production flow, R&D, and dispatch
  • Advanced warehousing and logistics infrastructure for smarter stock control and fulfilment
  • Future-ready utilities and digital connectivity to meet the demands of Industry 4.0
  • Sustainable construction practices that align with our environmental values

The result? A base that does more than just function — it fuels innovation, precision, and a customer experience that sets new standards.

“Crompton Developments didn’t just hand us the keys. They delivered a strategic foundation for how we grow, innovate, and lead.”

— Tony Keeley, Managing Director, Kee Connections

A Thriving Hub for Innovation and Growth

It’s proof that West Lancashire isn’t just growing — it’s redefining what modern industrial growth looks like.

The Future is Being Built Right Here

Alongside Crompton Developments and forward-thinking neighbours, Kee Connections is shaping a dynamic ecosystem of progress. Together, we’re helping make Burscough a national example of sustainable, scalable, and strategic industrial success.
